Clean Eating - Why I Choose To Eat Clean

Clean Eating Day1:

What is this you ask? It is a lifestyle of healthy eating. Not a diet but an everyday way of eating.

Let me start out by saying I did not come up with this. it is not my idea. I am in no way laying claim to the Clean Eating Lifestyle.

I have always been a huge advocate of healthy eating. One day while visiting my local book store I happened upon a magazine titled Clean Eating. I sat down and looked through it; I loved it! I took my new magazine home and read it cover to cover. While reading I came across an advertisement for a book. The book was titled The Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno. I decided to look it up and as you know in the age of the internet, I opened up a whole new world. I purchased the book that day and jumped right into reading it. Wow, what an eye opener! I will tell you I do have the a bit of knowledge about what is good and bad for you you but, this was a a big wake up to just how bad processed food is for you. I shared what I had read with my husband and he supported me in wanting to change our eating habits even more.

So off we went to our local Whole Foods Market. What an amazing place to go and just look. I was there for a couple of hours. Everyone was so helpful as I tried to find things on my new grocery list. Yes, I will say it does cost me a bit more but isn't my family's health worth it?

I now own all of Tosca's books and subscribe to the Clean Eating magazine. I am also learning to substitute the good for the bad in recipes of my own.

This lifestyle change works so well for my family. I can tell you it works for all.  There are cookbooks for families with kids, vegetarians, vegans and people with all sorts of dietary concerns.

So why am I telling you all of this? In hopes you will find what I have found. Something that makes me feel amazing, clear skin, boundless energy and so many more wonderful benefits!

My family and I are embarking on a 100 days of eating clean challenge. I am going to try and journal our adventure here on my blog. I will share recipes and books I have come to love. I hope you will follow along.
