Day 9: Today is a short 3 mile run. I usually finish this run up in under 30 minutes. On my short run days I strength train. I workout at my Local YMCA. I met with a trainer and set up a strength training program to fit my goal of becoming a better runner. If you decide strength training is for you I do recommend meeting with someone initially to set up what will work best for you. I also recommend meeting with someone before starting a program on your own to avoid injury. Whomever you choose at the gym of your choice can meet with you and show you the correct way to execute each exercise.Thus avoiding injury and working the correct muscle group.
Tip of the day: I am looking for your advice. What do you do to strength train? Where do you workout and why? Do you have a trainer you really like?
